Welcome to our website
We’ve created this website for people around the world to share information about electromagnetic field (EMF) levels within their cars. If you find this website useful please consider making a donation so that we can continue to provide this service for you.
The potential biological impact of electromagnetic fields (also referred to as electrosmog, electromagnetic radiation or electromagnetic interference) is a controversial subject. Very low level are uncontroversially fine: the earth itself, after all, produces an electromagnetic field all of the time. Very high levels are also uncontroversially bad: the negative impact of cooking your head in a microwave, for example, is uncontroversially bad. Also, legislation around the world limits the amount of electromagnetic radiation that consumer products can emit. The question therefore is about the level and intensity of exposer before some kind of negative impact can be observed, and what that impact might be. This area has been subject to much scientific research, as well, unfortunately, of much pseudoscientific misinformation and conspiracy theory. The purpose of this website is not to engage in that debate but instead to allow people to share actual EMF readings within cars on the road today.
Please treat the information on this website as indicative only and not as a guarantee of the EMF levels for any particular vehicle. If you are concerned about the EMF levels within your vehicle or a vehicle you are about to purchase please ensure you carry out your own tests before buying.
Many thanks again for using this website. Please send in the EMF readings for your car or a car you have access to using this form and please also consider making a donation so we can keep with service running.
All the best,
The In Car EMF team.
